Copy-Paste AI Prompt
Help me document my judgment-layer decisions for this week.
My role: [JOB TITLE]
Today's activities: [DESCRIBE WHAT YOU DID TODAY]
Identify the ONE decision I made today that an AI system could NOT have made,
even with full access to my tools and data. Explain:
1. What was the decision?
2. Why couldn't AI make it? (ambiguity, accountability, relationship, context, ethics)
3. What was the outcome?
Then help me draft a talking point for my manager conversation:
"This week I [specific judgment activity] which resulted in [outcome].
An AI system could not have done this because [reason]."
Common Mistakes
- Logging tasks instead of decisions
- Not explaining why AI couldn't have done it
- Waiting until the end of the week to fill it in
- Being too vague about the outcome
- Skipping the manager conversation
Best Practices
- Fill in each day's entry before leaving work
- Focus on decisions where you used judgment, not just experience
- The "AI couldn't do this because" column is the most important one
- Schedule the manager conversation for Friday of Week 4
- Frame it positively — you're offering more strategic value
