The Middle Eastern and North African region has the second highest rate of increase in diabetes globally, and the number of people with diabetes projected to increase by 96.2% in 2035. With the strong presence of this disease in our region, Health care facilities are becoming more aware of the importance to provide the diabetic community with the best services possible, to help them manage their condition. In this context, the National Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Genetics in Jordan, has collaborated with Nabed, to raise patients’ awareness and to guide them towards taking well-informed decisions regarding their medical condition.
In recognition of the importance of health education in managing diabetes, Nabed distributed health awareness content across the center’s TV screens. This content promotes information about healthy nutrition, medications and insulin dosages, feet health and other lifestyle management videos. Through Nabed’s health education broadcast, the visitors of this center will be spending their waiting time learning more about their disease and how they can live with it on a daily basis. Also, Nabed’s digital platform, offers to the center the possibility to instantly communicate its latest services and messages to patients. Nabed aims to improve healthcare outcomes for both healthcare practitioners and patients. For this purpose, future collaborations with leading health organisms in the region will be succeeding.
